VCU Transform Living-Learning Program

Earners have an intermediate knowledge of leadership development. As a VCU REAL Level-4 experience, they engaged in hands-on learning, mentoring, guided reflection, and integrative learning. Earners demonstrate an understanding of theories related to leadership, civic engagement, and global citizenship. They integrated their knowledge of theory with beyond the classroom experiences; demonstrated increased self-efficacy; and developed an electronic portfolio to highlight their career readiness.

Earning Criteria

  • Successfully complete an 11 credit course curriculum including REAL 300, REAL 301, REAL 310, REAL 400, REAL 401, and/or external course.
  • Complete at least 60 hours of beyond-the-classroom engagement hours and an immersive experiential learning pathway including internship, research, study abroad, entrepreneurship, peer leadership, or community service.
  • Submit a culminating e-portfolio.
