Leadership who have earned Accreditation in the Walker Learning Pedagogy actively demonstrate a pedagogical commitment to play-based and inquiry learning through Walker Learning by implementing a whole school approach, supporting teachers and educators in ongoing professional learning from Early Life Foundations/Walker Learning, and informing families. Only Walker Learning can issue credentials for Leadership Accreditation in the Walker Learning Pedagogy.

Earning Criteria

To receive Accreditation, Leadership must first complete the module pathways of professional development conducted by Walker Learning. There are separate pathways relevant to early primary and middle/upper primary. Leadership will choose the relevant pathway or if Walker Learning is to be implemented throughout the school, both pathways will need to be completed. Only Walker Learning can issue credentials for Accreditation. Attendance will be verified by Walker Learning.

Leadership will demonstrate a rigorous understanding of the key elements of the Walker Learning pedagogy and have read Play Matters (F/K/P or R to Year 2) and Engagement Matters (Years 3-6). Evidence will be provided to show that the Walker Learning Pedagogy is being implemented and supported throughout the school.
