User Experience - Intercultural Fluency
Originally developed by the Education Design Lab, the 21st Century Skill of Intercultural fluency includes the capacity to operate and communicate in different cultural contexts. Earners of this badge are fluent interculturally exhibit four core sub-competencies. They recognize and challenge their own cultural biases; show curiosity; demonstrate self-awareness; and incorporate diverse perspectives.

Earning Criteria

Attend and participate in the "Heuristics and UX Laws" course. This course discusses what Visual Design is and its impact on the final UI. Presenting the Laws of UX applied to Visual Design, and the different layouts existing in the web industry. Students receive an introduction to Heuristics.

Attend and participate in the "Colors, Contrast Ratio, and Accessibility" course. This class discusses how to create a color palette that respects the minimum contrast ratio and that is accessible.

During the mid-stage of their project, students have taken into consideration feedback from Peer Reviewers, and have gained insights and utilized the information to improve on their deliverables. Students have showcased their ability to work as a team member, demonstrated self-awareness and are able to provide positive criticism.
