Badge holders have completed a two day intensive study of the UMTS air interface. Holders will be able to describe the aims of the air interface and the use of CDMA. In addition holders will be able to describe the advantages and disadvantages of using CDMA. Holder. will also be able to describe all of the protocols used on the air interface and within the UTRAN. Badge holders will also be able to describe the signalling flows through the UTRAN to support connections and mobility.
