The course objective is to become a more effective public speaker, as well as a more critical public receiver of information; demonstrate the ability to listen and speak competently and effectively in a variety of communication contexts, which may include public, group, and/or interpersonal; and increase understanding of the principles and processes of communicating effectively in public contexts and to facilitate development of your skills in listening, interpersonal and public communication.

Earning Criteria

The methods of assessment include quizzes, case studies, group projects, examinations, presentations, written papers, and performance rubrics (checklists) with a minimum passing score of 70 percent.

The methods of instruction include audio visual materials, case studies, laboratory, practical exercises, learner presentations, lecture, discussion, classroom exercises, and computer-based training.
