Certified Professional Manufacturers' Representative (CPMR)
Earners of the IPA's Certified Professional Manufacturers' Representative (CMPR) certification have completed a 3-year program related to agency management and operations. Individuals have demonstrated their understanding of the challenges facing leadership ranging from human rescources, legal, contracts, line profitability, change management, social media and more. Certificate holders have successfully completed an exam at the end of each year plus a case study in the 3rd year.

Earning Criteria

Attend all three years of the CPMR program provided by The Institute for Professional Advancement. CPMR 101 is eight half-day sessions of content; CPMR 201 is similar to 101 plus an evening strategy case study; CPMR 301 is 5 half-day sessions plus case study presentations.

Successfully pass a written exam at the end of each year plus the Strategy 201 evening session and the 301 Case Study that applies prior years' content. The 301 Case Study is a group project that starts in advance of the CPMR week when we are onsite for educational sessions and exams. Each group submits their strategic plan for the upcoming year, an analysis related to the opportunity presented in the case study to a committee as well as presents their plans and analysis.
