At Cancer Research UK, we exist to beat cancer. But the disease is so complex that it is unlikely there will ever be a single cure. ‘Beating’ cancer involves discovering how and why it develops and evolves, then using that knowledge to find ways to prevent people developing it, detect it earlier when they do and develop new cutting-edge treatments. It also means finding ways to minimise the impact cancer has on those who live with it by discovering kinder, less disruptive treatments.
