The University of Kentucky (UK) is a public land-grant research university in Lexington, Ky. Founded in 1865 by John Bryan Bowman as the Agricultural and Mechanical College of Kentucky, it is the institution with the highest enrollment in the state, with more than 30,000 students. UK has a wide array of programs that allows us to excel in multidisciplinary studies and fosters an environment of cooperative engagement across all colleges, programs, and research endeavors.
